Casas do Côro
Marialva
Justin & I travelled to Portugal to find this gem tucked away just outside the Douro Valley near the border of Spain. We loved it as it offers a small and intimate setting giving us time to connect as well as offering a wonderful variety of activities to enjoy as we discover this beautiful region of Portugal.
Casas do Côro is the project of area entrepreneurs Paulo and Carmen Romão. Imagine a medieval village transformed into a boutique hotel, where former village houses are left intact on the exterior, but renovated for 21st century guests on the inside. It is a real family affair with Paolo the DJ and Carmen the chef, giving Casas do Côro a truly warm and homely atmosphere.
The feel is rustic, but the accommodations is modern, the amenities are luxurious and you will feel like part of the family from the moment you arrive.
As rooms go, don’t expect the ordinary at Casas do Côro. The hotel is made up of nine houses, each one is unique and quirky with individual design and decor. Locally grown produce and regional specialties are prepared with great love and passion.
We will indulge in walks, picnics in the vineyards, boat rides down the Douro river, a beautiful spa and for those how need some more activities there are e-bikes for hire!
Looking forward to hanging out with you!
